Cameras and microphones

This room has a camera and microphones for video calls.

  • Picture and sound go only to the call in progress.
  • Nothing is recorded by the room. A call is recorded only when someone in it starts the recording.
  • It counts how many people are here, as a number. Fewer than 3 shows as "fewer than 3", so a count never says who was here.
  • It does not identify anyone.
  • People counts are kept as hourly room totals for 13 months, then deleted.

Never, in any room

  • Face recognition or speaker identification
  • Emotion, engagement or attention scoring
  • Recording from the room itself
  • Keeping or passing on a live camera feed
