Vendor access
This part is for Aigna staff
Vendors see their own installation and the device reference they need to build it: device types, setup guides and models. Everything else stays with Aigna.

Setup order
Optional: tick as you go, or let the checks do it1Mount EXT3-C-XR-T at the table (or credenza) and EXT3-POE-XR-R at the display/rack end.6/6
2Set the DIP-switches on both units, below, before connecting cables or power.6/6
3Connect EXT3-C-XR-T's HDBT OUT to EXT3-POE-XR-R's HDBT IN with a single certified HDBaseT cable.6/6
4Connect the room laptop to the USB-C IN on EXT3-C-XR-T; connect the display to HDMI OUT on EXT3-POE-XR-R.6/6
5Power both units from their own adapters, or let EXT3-POE-XR-R feed EXT3-C-XR-T over the HDBaseT cable (up to 19.7W) if only one adapter is run to the table.6/6
6Power-cycle both units once, since DIP-switches 2B, 3B and 4B only take effect after a restart.6/6
7Confirm the LINK LED lights on both units and that the space's USB peripherals (camera, soundbar) enumerate on the laptop.6/6

DIP-switches - EXT3-C-XR-T (transmitter)5
- ETH by USB (DIP 1A)Rear panel > SETUP DIP-switches > 1ACheck it is Off (ETH enabled)
Why
Passes the laptop's Ethernet link through to the receiver end, which Aigna's AV VLAN design assumes is available.
- HDBT Range Mode (DIP 2A)Rear panel > SETUP DIP-switches > 2ACheck it is Off (Standard range mode)
Why
Standard range covers Aigna's typical cable runs at full quality; only switch to Long range mode if a site's run needs the extra reach, which costs bandwidth.
- Active USB Host (DIP 2B)Rear panel > SETUP DIP-switches > 2BCheck it is Off (this unit is the active USB host)
Why
The laptop plugs in at the transmitter, so it must stay the USB host; the receiver's matching switch is changed to slave so only one side claims the role.
- IR Modulation (DIP 3B)Rear panel > SETUP DIP-switches > 3BCheck it is Off (IR pass-thru enabled)
Why
Aigna rooms don't drive an IR emitter cable from this port, so plain pass-through is correct.
- RS-232 operation Mode (DIP 4B)Rear panel > SETUP DIP-switches > 4BCheck it is Off (RS-232 firmware programming inactive)
Why
Keeps the RS-232 port carrying normal control traffic instead of sitting in firmware-upload mode.
DIP-switches - EXT3-POE-XR-R (receiver)4
- HDBT Range Mode (DIP 1A)Rear panel > SETUP DIP-switches > 1ACheck it is Off (Standard range mode)
Why
Must match the transmitter's range mode; long range only turns on together with the transmitter's, for a longer run.
- Active USB Host (DIP 2B)Rear panel > SETUP DIP-switches > 2BSet to On (this unit's USB is a slave)
Why
Both units default to host, but only one may host the USB link at a time; since Aigna's laptop connects at the transmitter, the receiver is switched to slave.
- IR Modulation (DIP 3B)Rear panel > SETUP DIP-switches > 3BCheck it is Off (IR pass-thru enabled)
Why
Matches the transmitter side so an extended IR signal passes through unmodified.
- RS-232 operation Mode (DIP 4B)Rear panel > SETUP DIP-switches > 4BCheck it is Off (RS-232 firmware programming inactive)
Why
Normal operation; only slid to the programming position during a firmware upgrade.
Power1
- Power sourceSet to EXT3-C-XR-T's own 20V adapter, run to the table end
Why
The transmitter's adapter also runs the 60W USB-C PD laptop charging; PoE sent from the receiver caps out at 19.7W, which won't charge a laptop, so Aigna runs the transmitter's own adapter whenever charging is wanted.
