What was done

Build the comms room and bring switch ports live. Nothing new: not device related.

Steps followed

  1. Send the MAC addresses to the network team before the units ship (their queue is five working days).
  2. Ask for address reservations and forward and reverse DNS records, named with each hostname.
  3. Confirm the switch ports are on the AV VLAN with enough power over Ethernet.
  4. Check each reservation resolves before install day.
