What the vendor's documents don't say (2)
- CalDigit's manual documents the dock's ports and power delivery but no admin or configuration settings beyond firmware; there is nothing else to set on the dock itself.
- No automatic-update option exists for the dock; firmware is only ever applied by running the updater by hand, and CalDigit doesn't publish a fixed update cadence.
Provision is the first step of Deploy: before or as each dock arrives, every system gets its record, so the device is known the moment it is plugged in. It is ticked in the project's Deploy page; this is what each record needs.
