StandardScheduler panelsVersion 1.0

Scheduler panels

Version 1.0, in force since 1 Mar 2026 · 5 rules that must be met

  • 1,220 mmHighest touch point
  • LatchSide of the door
  • 1PoE cable per panel
  • 1Calendar per panel

The must rules

5 rules every install follows, in the order of this page. 3 more rules are the default with a written exception.

A scheduler panel tells people whether a room is free and lets them book it at the door. It only works if it is the same room as the calendar says, it is where people look, and anyone can reach it.

  2. Power and network
  3. The room and its calendar

Where it goes

3 rules
MustHouse choice

Mount the panel outside the room on the latch side of the door, on the wall or the glass mullion, facing the corridor.

Why
People read it as they reach for the handle; on the hinge side it is hidden when the door opens.
How to check
Photo of the door with the panel at handover.
Must

Mount it so its highest touch point is no more than 1,220 mm and its lowest no less than 380 mm above the floor, with its centre about 1,150 mm up.

Why
Keeps the touch screen within reach of someone in a wheelchair, as accessibility rules on reach ranges set out.
How to check
Measure from the finished floor to the top and the bottom of the screen.

ShouldHouse choice

On glass walls, use the manufacturer's glass or mullion mount and bring the cable down inside the mullion, never across the glass.

Why
A cable on the glass looks unfinished and gets caught.
How to check
No visible cable at handover.

Power and network

2 rules
MustHouse choice

Power the panel from one PoE data outlet behind it (802.3af class 3 or as its data sheet says), on the room systems VLAN.

Why
One cable, no power adapter at the door, and the switch can restart it remotely.
How to check
The switch shows the port powering the panel at its class; the panel is on VLAN 30.

Source Logitech Tap Scheduler specifications

MustHouse choice

Name the panel with the room's hostname and prefix (for example dub-305-sch01) and match its record in device management.

Why
The same name finds it in every system.
How to check
Device management and Keia Atlas show the same name.

The room and its calendar

3 rules
MustHouse choice

Link the panel to exactly one room calendar, the room's own resource, whose name and capacity match the room in Keia Atlas.

Why
A panel on the wrong calendar shows a free room as busy, or books the wrong room.
How to check
Book the room from the panel; the booking appears on the room's calendar and on its video bar.

Source Logitech Room Booking setup

ShouldHouse choice

Turn on check-in with automatic release of no-show bookings after 10 minutes.

Why
Rooms booked and not used go back to people who need them.
How to check
Book the room and do not check in; it is released after 10 minutes.
ShouldHouse choice

Let the panel dim outside office hours but not turn off, and keep its LED status bar on.

Why
The status light is what people see from down the corridor.
How to check
Walk past after hours; the light shows the room's status.
